Hello my name is Luis Estrada and I am a software
developer. In this video I will show you how to touch up digital pictures by using Picasa
3. Picasa is a registered trademark of Google, a company to which I have no affiliation.
For this example we will be using an old picture that has a lot of scratches and even a few
holes. We will try to touch up this image using the retouch tool, select the tool, first
configure the brush size. The brush should cover the entire imperfection in the picture.
Now click on the hole in the picture. This tool will clone a part of the picture and
place it on top of the imperfection. If you move your mouse around the picture you will
see a preview of the result. Once you find the right spot to cover the imperfection click
again. If you don’t like the result you can press the undo patch button. When you press
on the imperfection Picasa tries to guess the best option to patch the imperfection
so most of the time you won’t need to move around the picture to find the correct replacement.
Just click on the same place again. You can adjust the zoom level to get a better control
of the brush. When you are done making changes press the apply button to save the modified
image or cancel to discard all changes.
I’m Luis Estrada and I have just shown you how to edit your digital images.
