eGuide Tech Allies | Reduce Photos App Size

On this eGuide Tech Allies Insider we will
cover how to reduce the amount of storage your photos app is occupying on your phone. To begin select “settings” and scroll
down and click “Photos & Camera”. While iCloud is a great way to backup and
share photos with other devices, it’s not the easiest to delete a photo from your phone
without it also being removed from iCloud. eGuide recommends using a third party app
like Google Photos which automatically syncs to your iPhone library, allowing you to delete
photos from your phone, without deleting them from the cloud. Next make sure that “Optimize Photo Storage”
is selected vs. “Download & Keep Originals”. And finally eGuide recommends turning off
Photo Stream. This basically duplicates pictures in multiple
palaces on your phone. These three tricks should reduce the file
size of the photos app, and allow more space for other apps and more photos. Thank you for watching this eGuide Tech Allies
