This is certainly an interesting idea, the experience of seeing a traditional animal circus, without any of the cruelty of a traditional animal circus.

    Fake news, fake elephants

  14. Shayke Speeer says:

Nice to see them not exploiting real elephants. See, circuses can still be entertaining without oppression, abuse, cruelty and animal suffering!!!! Congrats to this group!

  15. Ray S says:

I got to see some real enslaved elephants perform as a kid. It's sad knowing what i know now about how they're treated but i got to ride one after the show and it was really great.

  16. Kasino80 says:

this made me think of Hook for some reaon, and it made me cry…why??

  17. Cali aka Evil Monkey says:

Anyone else feel like they owe money for watching such a beautiful display? Im just saying… 👏🏾

  18. Charlie Ballew says:

I have to know how that elephant was made. So fucking cool. The guy inside the baby elephant did a really good job of portraying a happy baby animal.

  19. camelshit says:

I've never seen anyone run around in circles like this lady does..!!

The puppets are a good idea, should be the only way allowed to use animals in circus.

  20. Mostly Harmless says:

    those elephants are OBVIOUSLY fake!

  21. Driven_Seeker says:

wow. Circus elephants have only been gone for about a year. That made it into our collective nostalgia fast.

  22. Marissa Hammer says:

WOW 👏🏼 Now THIS is a Circus I'd pay to see! 🎪🐘
For me it's 100% more enjoyable to watch a performance just knowing that no animals were hurt, tortured or mistreated for the show. I'm definitely going to make sure to get tickets when they arrive to my city. That baby elephant puppet "Peanut" is just so downright adorable! 🐘😍

  23. New Message says:

"I can have a little LSD tonight.. c'mon.. it's Tuesday.. what could possibly set me off?"

    * spends the night screaming about dancing elephants and the lady with no spine *

  28. heidi horvat says:

    This is amazingly good!

  29. Here For The Comments says:

Couldn't take anymore after the fake elephant at 1:25. Look folks, we eat animals. And I'm supposed to be worried if it's crueler to put them in a circus than put them in a slaughterhouse? At least circus animals get taken care of. But no, that's too far.

  30. TheArtkaw says:

Reminds me a bit of how War Horse in the West End depicted their animals.

  31. Angel truth says:

wow this is suck magical entertaing show i love it, it was like a beautiful illusion of disney movie.
i really want to go their see it, in person
I love stephen show they are funny and entertaining hes great guy

  32. John says:

That scene with the elephants was off because suddenly no one was acknowledging the audience.

  33. Andrew Wallock says:

Gorgeous! Thanks Late Show for showcasing such a unique and stunning performance. I hope to see more stuff like this outside of the normal musical acts on late night.

  34. Step Espinoza says:

    I feel sad

  35. Ashley May says:

This is proof that it's unnecessary to force animals to travel and perform, and people can obviously take on the roles they play just as impressively and without causing harm or discomfort to other living creatures. Also, I bet the people in those costumes got PAID, while the animals that perform in circuses aren't

  36. tyskbulle says:

Very creative. As for real performing elephants, the problem is not domestication. Its treatment. We all know its almost always sub-par or worse.

  37. Sriracha Cunt says:

I know this is an unpopular opinion and then I'm in the minority but I feel like you guys are being little bitches. They're just fucking animals! They are worthless. Obviously you shouldn't abuse them or hit them but as long as you're giving them room to sleep and food to live then it's completely fine to have them in a traveling show for the entertainment of humans the most superior species that's ever existed. I don't want elephants to go extinct or be gone from the wild. But calm the fuck down and let us get entertained.

  38. Blackrain says:

    Cool!

  39. Linen Gray says:

The elephant was beautiful but the chick in the beginning creeped me out.

  40. keen says:

Beautiful! Would rather see this than the exploitation of the real animals.

  41. mastermooky says:

I'd like to see the humans doing animal tricks for a change

  42. Zachary Forcher says:

No animals chained up, mistreated, tortured, and exploited? I love it. Bravo!

  43. Fluffypro says:

I feel sorry for the bike guy. He's not that interesting compared to a contortionist or an elephant puppet.

  44. InMaTeofDeath says:

Didn't enjoy the performance but that music is fucking incredible.

  45. Marti Reed says:

Totally awesome, made my morning!! Thank you.

  46. Anne K says:

So this group saw Lion King on Broadway hey!

  47. Miguel Rodriguez says:

  50. William Cortelyou says:

The crazy kinds of sex you could have with that first girl… My God the possibilities are endless…

  51. Marilyn Newman says:

    Marvelous.

  52. pschroeter1 says:

    Do they do lions too?

  53. chinookvalley says:

Is it okay that I cried? Our beautiful friends, the elephants, are quickly leaving us at the hands of poachers. This is such a great tribute to their charms and undying love.

  54. chinookvalley says:

If they could just do this with race horses and dogs. Humans must place every living thing in bondage. It's time to let go of that "tradition".

  55. Sruthi Nambiar says:

The elephants were so beautiful! Amazing work.

  56. TheSeppentoni says:

  71. The Dude says:

So where are the whippings and other animal abuse that were commonplace in 1903?

  72. Eddie Quinn says:

It truly is horrible how humans are treated today.

  73. Heather S says:

    this is beautiful!

  74. K Family says:

    Beautiful

  75. San Geet says:

That woman's body is an amazing machinery. Looks like she can unhinge her joints as she wishes. Hope all that twisting and bending doesn't affect her internal organs adversely. That piece was great!

  76. Tina Walton says:

I feel like a fool writing this, but I have to say this brought tears to my eyes. For just a few minutes I felt like a child again. Truly magical.

  77. ash G. says:

cool that they arnt using elephants but it makes me worry. what if all we have left is animal puppets because we killed all the real animals. sadly the best survival trait an animal can have is being useful to humans.

  78. justfetus says:

    This was absolutely beautiful.

  79. Silver Slingblade says:

Sad. I miss the real elephants.

  80. Raelynne Garren says:

I love it… Love watching Stephen Colbert

  81. TheM&M Channel says:

I saw this in vegas and I thought she would be great in the exorcist movies

  82. Dr. Pastry says:

The first one was just scary on all sorts of levels

  83. Caroleeena says:

I saw this at DPAC and I have no words for how amazing it was! What an incredible performance by many many incredible people with multiple talents! I can't recommend it highly enough.

  84. mary buster says:

    boring

  85. Helena Vibes says:

Yes.. so much better… That cruelty in the 19’s was horible

  86. Life TV says:

So a lot off people dont quite understand the original elephants were taken from the wild and sold at the black market and even legally to a circus they where raised by the circus bull master some cases the bull masters were cruel they had sticks with sharp nails at the end they'd beat them with but most bull masters raised them so they would be tamed and trained and loved an elephant born in captivity has no where else to go but in a human facility yes these animals where ment to be free but so was every other animal does that mean a dog should put in the wild or a cat or horse or cow no animals because companions some people were greedy they took these creatures but that was years ago now they've become family coworkers loved ones a circus isn't an ideal place for an elephant but a house isnt ideal for a dog and fish bowl isnt ideal for a gold fish yes human are fucked up for steeling these creatures but we love them and they love us yes elephant were abused in the circus but so are dogs in the homes of everyday people its like a good pet owner love his pet and a bad pet owner doesn't really but you cant just say its i evil to own a pet because a couple sick fucks beat their dog i never liked watching them preform but they never seemed enslaved or scared or angry or sad they actually would show signs of joy and the only thing i would have changed about circus elephants wpuld be the living arrangements a circus is always on the move so ALL the animals never get a pertinent home and the get stress from moving PS i know an elephant and a dog are not the same elephants can actually feel more love and care towords a human than a dog can

  87. Joel Lewis says:

Id rather see a libtard try to spell ELEPHANT than this crap.. a half educated libtard would be vastly more entertaining…. about like watching a vintage monkey routine.

  88. cloudtxe says:

Who was there i was there in the third row

  89. susie lankey says:

I was really upset to see your advert on the front page of the Evening Standard so googled you only to find you are NOT using live elephants, thank god. Also delighted to see the message NOT to use wild animals is getting through in the comments. Anyone wanting to help baby orphan elephants "The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust" is a wonderful charity, all love, care, and professionalism where slowly they return these ellies to the wild. You can foster a baby for $50 a year = £35 approx. Over 200 have returned to the wild in Tsavo East and the orphans have recently had their 30th wild born baby.
